BUGA reference location

The BUGA is already gaining momentum between construction measures, event, marketing and traffic concepts, after all, 2013 is the first important year of construction and planting for the blooming landscapes of 2015. The search goes beyond the five adventure centers from Brandenburg an der Havel to the Hanseatic city of Havelberg The Federal Garden Show also includes culturally and historically special places that are worthy of being designated as a BUGA reference location.

After Ribbeck Castle was entered into the running last year, the gap towards Berlin has now been completed through a cooperation agreement. The Stober estate in Groß Behnitz near Nauen is located around 20 kilometers west of the federal capital. It is “a really good catch for us,” says Erhard Skupch, managing director of the Federal Horticultural Show 2015 Havel Region Association, “because it
"It is actually a magical place: history, culture, art and landscape merge here to form a unique ensemble."

Michael Stober, owner and managing director of Landgut Stober GmbH & Co. KG, is pleased with the choice because together with his wife he has fulfilled a dream here in Havelland. “The Stober estate with its estate and park-like waterfront property extends over three hectares and borders directly on a forest area.

The park was conceived by Albert Borsig and inspired by Alexander von Humboldt. There are still several plane trees here that Humboldt brought back from his expeditions. Because the estate has been vacant for years, the parking structures are now barely recognizable, so as part of BUGA 2015, we will be reinstating the park area based on the historical model," says Michael Stober, who has been running the estate since 2008. "BUGA 2015 is starting up Sustainability - a topic that is particularly important to me at Landgut Stober. We are, among other things, a Certified Green Hotel®*, Brandenburg's only Bioland-certified hotel, produce our own electricity and heat with wood.

Our chef Dirk Bismark uses many in the Seeterrassen restaurant
Organic ingredients, especially from local producers. In view of these parallels, we are pleased to be a partner of BUGA 2015 and to enable visitors to have a great stay in the middle of Havelland
"Enriching BUGA events with our own events," Michael Stober creates anticipation for BUGA, where there will also be a special menu in Groß Behnitz, by Johanna Vogtländer
