Sustainable conference location with history near Berlin

Conferences between history and sustainability

History, science and social affairs - the Stober estate is unique in its diversity. “Political decisions were made here, the foundations for democracy and a healthcare system were created, social standards and sustainability were redefined and, thanks to the famous Borsig railways, a new era of mobility was ushered in,” says owner Michael Stober enthusiastically about his country estate. The former model agricultural estate at the gates of Berlin has stood for a spirit of progress since 1866 and, thanks to the vision of its current owner Michael Stober, is now presented as a stylish reinterpretation of a historic country estate that also offers the perfect setting for conferences, seminars and incentives.

Surrounded by the historic Gutshof Ensemble directly on Lake Groß Behnitz, about 45 minutes from Berlin-Mitte, guests experience an exclusive conference atmosphere in a total of 25 salons. The Stober estate is, among other things, a “Certified Conference Hotel" by the Association of German Travel Management e.V. (VDR) and a reference location for BUGA 2015. The Academy for Leadership and Management Berlin-Brandenburg is also based there and presents with it the "Innovations LAB" (Landgut Stober) is a modern laboratory for researching and communicating the basics for effective answers to current and future challenges in society, economy, politics and culture - a kind of modern "think tank" on the lakeshore.

Whether it's a meeting for two or a large event with up to 1,400 participants, the spatial options in the stylish ambience of the listed buildings are diverse. In addition, the conference and event rooms, flooded with daylight, have modern equipment with wireless LAN, projector, mobile screen and blackout.

For the physical well-being of conference guests and private visitors, stylish gastronomic offerings are available in the Seeterrassen restaurant and the wine bar with cooking school.

Head chef Andreas Schmidt reinterprets the Märkische cuisine with regional and organic ingredients and and his team rely on individual conference catering according to the wishes of the organizer. Conference guests will find a restful sleep in the organic hotel in and the historic guesthouse, which offers a comfortable temporary home with 105 double rooms and 23 suites. In addition, the diverse incentives such as felting, baking bread, raft building, lithographic printing, steam engine maintenance or a historic estate tour provide exciting impulses.
