Meeting in a climate-positive way

The Havelland in winter

Conference location Landgut Stober

Factory remembers. The estate is part of the Borsig Maschinenbauanstalt and is managed using the most modern agricultural methods. Machines from the Berlin factories and technologies that are now called ecological are used: water is recycled and the cattle stable is heated with biomass. These are just a few of the features of how the Stober estate was operated as early as 1866.

The entire town of Groß Behnitz benefits from Borsig's entrepreneurial spirit and his social arrangement: as early as 1869, he built a train station where trains to or from Berlin stopped in order to transport fresh products to the Borsig canteens. He had a school and a kindergarten built, the village church restored and the family's hereditary burial site built at the back by the architect Eugen Schmohl.

The Borsigs were very socially minded and, among other things, did things for their employees: Organized Christmas parties. This is run by the current owner of the Stober estate, Michael Stober, who says about the Stober estate: “It is a place full of atmosphere and spirit. "It's a magical place" continues to this day.
The existing guest house with 24 double rooms is reduced in electrosmog with consistent use of rainwater and is heated with a wood chip heating system.

The hotel expansion will be completed by a further 122 double rooms in May next year. With the support of the state of Brandenburg and the EU, a four-star hotel is being built that will close an important gap in the Havelland's offerings for conferences, celebrations, cultural travelers and vacationers.
This is the only organic hotel in and around Berlin is built according to organic standards: photovoltaics with a maximum self-use of 72 KW. Here too, as in the Logierhaus: consistent use of rainwater, use of renewable raw materials, rooms with reduced electrosmog, organically certified wall and floor coatings and organic bed linen, to name just a few of the features of this sustainable building project.
If you would like to enjoy something special in a wintry atmosphere, the Stober estate offers up to 12/22 an organic goose meal as a 3-course menu.

On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, December 4th. The 6th Advent market will take place at the Stober estate from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Among other things, the estate offers regional offerings. There are various craft stations for the little guests and of course Santa Claus will also come.
If you want to leave the stress of the year behind you and enjoy nature - whether with a walk around Lake Groß Behnitz, a glass of punch on the lakeside terrace or a guided tour If you want to immerse yourself in history through the owner - the Stober estate offers a 2 or 3 day package to relax in the middle of nature. Or how about a 4-course meal on New Year's Eve?
