Salon Anna - 58 m2

The 58 m² Salon Anna on the 1st floor offers the right setting for undisturbed work in small groups or private dinners for up to 60 people. Historic crystal chandeliers, gilded wall lights and the original floorboards give the salon its warm atmosphere. Two small adjoining rooms, Salon Mathilde with 37 m² and the foyer with 23 m² are very suitable for small working groups.

The salon is named after Anna Caroline Wilhelmine Amalie Borsig, née Gutike (1841-1919), married to August Julius Albert Borsig since 1861. After the early death of her husband, it was the active support her mother-in-law, without whom Anna would hardly have made it. She learned to be strong to overcome any adversity in the interests of her five children. Anna could now live on the estate with her children Margarethe, Arnold, Ernst Hedwig and Conrad without any worries. She refused to accept the hereditary title of nobility in 1909 because her husband Albert could no longer accept it.
